SETTING COMMUNICATION PRIORITY

From home screen press [.,#*] key or tap on ADMIN
Press [3] Setup menu
Press [2] Communications
Press [1] Coms Priority
Select Comms Priority 1,2 accordingly and press Enter
Ethernet - 200
Dial - 100
i.e. Ethernet with Dial backup will be 210.
MOVE 5000
From home screen press [.,#*] key or tap on ADMIN
Press [3] Setup menu
Press [2] Communications
Press [1] Coms Priority
Select Coms priority 1,2,3 accordingly and press [Enter] (green button) (i.e. for WiFi only terminal it should be WiFi, none, none).
WiFi - 400
GPRS/Mobile Data (mobile sim) - 300
IP/Bluetooth - 200
Note: 4 indicates WiFi, 3 indicates GPRS (mobile data), 2 indicates IP and 0 indicates no backup. (i.e., for a sim based with WiFi backup it would be Mobile Data, WiFi, none or 340)
Press cancel (red button) until terminal is back on main screen

**If changing comms priority from how the terminal was shipped, please let our support team know so we can have the file rebuilt to match the terminal change.
OTHER COMMUNICATION SETUP - The below will vary depending on the terminal model and connection type you requested us to deploy.
Ethernet - If you have a base (Move 5000) or ETH wired terminal (Desk 5000)
From home screen press [.,#*] key or tap on ADMIN
Press [3] Setup menu
Press [2] Communications
Press [2] Ethernet
1 - Current Setup will display current setup details
2 - Ethernet Setup - Select Dynamic or Static IP. For static IP, your network administrator will need to make sure to input IP address , IP Gateway, Subnet mask , Primary DNS (5. Secondary DNS)) - try using 8.8.8.8. for primary and secondary DNS.
3 - Timers Setup - Enter IP Connect Timeout
WIFI - Move 5000 Only
From home screen press [.,#*] key or tap on ADMIN
Press [3] Setup menu
Press [2] Communications
Press [3] WiFi
Toggle 1 - WiFi On or Off
Select 2 - WiFi Easy Conn to search and connect to your Wireless signal
Note: If you have multiple routers at your business make sure they have unique names / passwords to avoid the terminal bouncing between the two connections.
Select 3 - Advanced Setup if your IT administrator needs to setup advanced settings for WiFI connection (i.e static IP).
Mobile Data- Move 5000 with Sim Card
From home screen press [.,#*] key or tap on ADMIN
Press [3] Setup menu
Press [2] Communications
Press [4] Mobile Data
Toggle 0 - Mobile Data On or Off
Set the Access Points
1 - Access Point 1: 1 - APN - mtrex2.apn
2 - Access Point 2: 1 - APN - mtrex.crs.bell.ca.ioe
3 - Access Point 3: 1 - APN isp.telus.com
4 - Access Point 2: 1 - APN mtrex1.telus.apn
etc...
7 - Set APN Preference (i.e. 123400 = 1 - Rogers, 2 - Bell, 3 and 4 - Telus then none and none or set to Telus only 300000)
9 - Select Operation Mode - 1- 4G Only, 2 - 3G Only, 3 - Automatic.
Bluetooth Move 5000 with Base
From home screen press [.,#*] key or tap on ADMIN
Press [3] Setup menu
Press [2] Communications
Press [5] Bluetooth
Toggle Bluetooth On or Off
When On - Connect the base to power and ethernet and dock the terminal on base.
2 - New Base - to pair base with terminal. Should receive base association ok message
3 - Select Base - if multiple bases connected to terminal
4 - Remove Base - to unpair a base
5 - Remove all bases - to unpair all connected bases.
6 - to print list of all connected bases.
Dial - Desk 5000 (requires available phone line)
From home screen press [.,#*] key or tap on ADMIN
Press [3] Setup menu
Press [2] Communications
Press [2] Dial
Diaplay Communication Settings - to display or print currently setup communication settings
From home screen press [.,#*] key or tap on ADMIN
Press [3] Setup menu
Press [2] Communications
Press [6] Display Params on Move 5000 / Press [4] Display Params on Desk 5000
Press the + to display or print to print report of current communication settings.
